Dates for the Best Week of the Summer 2013

The plans for Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2013 have been well underway, and we are excited announce the dates for the Best Week of the Summer...

 

 VBS 2013 will be

Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 12 

from 8:45 am to 12:00 noon 

at Living Word Christian Church 

on Highway 36 in 

Atlantic Highlands. 

This program is open to children who are entering first grade through sixth grade in September 2013. If you would like a registration form, please e-mail me          at iamcmdketcham@gmail.com. 

In my humble opinion, Vacation Bible School (VBS) is the BEST WEEK OF THE SUMMER! I know that some of you are thinking, "WHAT? Who wants to spend a week in the summer being hot and hanging out with kids?" I was even told by a parent that being with kids for a whole week in the hot summer sun would be considered punishment rather than something to look forward to. LOL For me, there is something so exciting and special about VBS week. 

A typical day at VBS for the children includes a Bible Lesson, crafts, music, and recreation. There is a snack time during recreation, too. The music that the kids learn during the week  is presented on Thursday night to the family and friends of the children  We call this our Celebration Program and we encourage the children to invite friends and family to attend the program. There are light refreshments served, so it is a family night out. Last year we had a make your own ice cream sundae station.
